Abubakar Shekau Insists He Is Still Leader Of Boko Haram Sect in New Audio


Following the BBC released a report that ISIS in the latest issue of their magazine announced Abu Musab al-Barnawi as Boko Haram's new leader; Abubakar Shekau yesterday released an audio debunking the claim. He insisted in the audio that he is still the leader of the sect and accused al-Barnawi of trying to stage a coup against him.

Amidst the controversy surrounding the  N1,219,000,000 said to be part of N4,685,723,000 allegedly transferred unlawfully from the account of the Office of the National Security Adviser, a Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday remanded an associate of Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, Mr. Abiodun Agbele, in Kuje Prison, Abuja, till Thursday when it would deliver ruling on his application for bail.

Agbele was arraigned on 11 counts of money laundering

HND To Be Awarded B. Tech As FG Scraps HND, Merge Polytechnics with Universities


 The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has reportedly approved the scrapping of the award of the Higher National Diploma (HND) by polytechnics in the country.

The FEC, to confirm this decision, has approved the submission of the two Executive bills to the National Assembly for enactment into law.

One of Mexico’s most notorious drug bosses, Ernesto Carrillo, is set to be released from jail after spending 30 years behind bars, Mexican media reported on Thursday.

Malawian President Orders Arrest Of Man Paid To Have Sex With Children


Malawian President Peter Mutharika ordered the arrest Tuesday of a man paid to have sex with more than 100 adolescent girls as part of a traditional ritual marking their passage to womanhood.
