Sacked House Of Reps Appropriation Chairman Calls For Dogara's Resignation


Former chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, who was sacked by Speaker Yakubu Dogara over alleged padding of the 2016 budget, has released a statement in which he alleged that Dogara and some other lawmakers tried to allocate to themselves 40billion naira out of the 100billion allocated to the entire National Assembly. He called for Dogara's resignation.

Illegal Detention: Court Slams EFCC N5m For Detaining Fayose’s Aide


A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Maitama, Abuja, while ruling on the bail application of an ally of Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State, Abiodun Agbele‎, awarded N5m as damages against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission as compensation for the suspect’s “wrongful and illegal detention” from July 1 till date.

A family of five has been arrested by the police in Katsina state for allegedly feeding a day old baby boy to a dog as meal.

It was gathered that the incident happened at Saika village in the Batsari Local Government Area of the state.
