involvement.
This is coming after the Inspector General of Police, IGP,
Ibrahim Idris, set up the Special Investigative Team, SIT, to probe the murder
of Ige who was shot dead on December 23, 2001, by unknown gunmen in his Ibadan,

Sacked House Of Reps Appropriation Chairman Calls For Dogara's Resignation
Former chairman of the
House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, who was
sacked by Speaker Yakubu Dogara over alleged padding of the 2016 budget, has
released a statement in which he alleged that Dogara and some other lawmakers
tried to allocate to themselves 40billion naira out of the 100billion allocated
to the entire National Assembly. He called for Dogara's resignation.

Illegal Detention: Court Slams EFCC N5m For Detaining Fayose’s Aide
A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Maitama,
Abuja, while ruling on the bail application of an ally of Governor Ayo Fayose
of Ekiti State, Abiodun Agbele, awarded N5m as damages against the Economic
and Financial Crimes Commission as compensation for the suspect’s “wrongful and
illegal detention” from July 1 till date.
According to PUNCH, the court held that the order obtained
by the EFCC from a Magistrates’ Court
Court Grants Fayose’s Aide Abiodun Agbede N50m Bail
After several days in detention following his involvement in
the controversial arms deal fund, an FCT High Court sitting in Abuja has
granted bail to Abiodun Agbele, an aide
of Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state.
Agbede was granted N50million bail today, July 21 was arrested
and detained in Lagos State in June
Family Feed A Day-Old Baby To Dog
A family of five has been arrested by the police in Katsina
state for allegedly feeding a day old baby boy to a dog as meal.
It was gathered that the incident happened at Saika village
in the Batsari Local Government Area of the state.
The police gave the names of the suspects as Wosila Halilu
(15), who is the mother of the baby; Wosila’s step brothers, Muhammadu Bello
(45), Musa Bello (35), Umar Bello (27); and her mother, Faiza Umar (30).
