Court Grants Fayose’s Aide Abiodun Agbede N50m Bail


After several days in detention following his involvement in the controversial arms deal fund, an FCT High Court sitting in Abuja has granted bail  to Abiodun Agbele, an aide of Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state.

Agbede was granted N50million bail today, July 21 was arrested and detained in Lagos State in June
by the EFCC, over allegations of aiding and abetting Fayose to launder N1.219billion he received from the Office of the former National Security Officer, Sambo Dasuki in June 2014.

He is being prosecuted by the EFCC for allegedly buying properties on behalf of Fayose from the money he received through former Minister of Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro.


Along with the N50million bail granted, the accused will also have to produce two sureties of the Director Cadre in the civil service.
