EFCC: Former Imo State Governor Arrested Over Fraud Allegation

 
The Economic and Financial crimes commission, (EFCC) has arrested the former governor of Imo state, Achike Udenwa over fraud allegations.

Nenadi was detained by the EFCC for allegedly receiving N2.5 billion of the N4 billion taken out of the Central Bank of Nigeria, on the orders of the ex-National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, ahead of the 2015 election.
Udenwa, according to Sahara Reporters, was last night grilled by EFCC investigators for several hours at their headquarters, following which he was released after signing a bond to repay the funds to the federal government within two weeks.

Nenadi was the Director of Finance of the People’s Democratic Party Presidential Campaign.
