Captain Ahmed Bashir Borodo, the pilot who operated a
chartered air plane owned by Gryo Air Ltd that flew Defence Minister Obanikoro
with N1.299 billion for Ekiti ‘Man Of The People’, Fayose has confessed to the EFCC.
In his confession at the EFCC office over the weekend,
Captain Borodo said the cash was wrapped
with green military bags before it was
loaded into the aircraft.
He said the bags were so heavy that it took 3 people to
place each on the aircraft.
The GM of Gyro Air Limited Jide West said the company was
paid $25,000 for the two trips from Lagos to Akure and Akure to Abuja.
Borodo’s grilling session was part of the ongoing probe of
Fayose for allegedly receiving the N1.299billion from Obanikoro during 2014 Ekiti
state governorship election
