Yesterday, Thursday 9th of June 2016, a Muslim funeral was
held for Muhammad Ali with thousands of his fans and admirers in attendance as
they paid their last respects to the legendary boxer.
According to Reuters, an estimated 14,000 people were in
attendance of the “jenazah” or funeral in Arabic.
Held in the boxer’s hometown of Louisville, Kentucky,
mourners prayed over the body of the three-time
heavyweight champion known for
his showmanship, political activism and devotion to humanitarian causes.
