Jose Mourinho has been confirmed as Manchester United’s new
manager. Mourinho is on his way to Manchester United.
The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss has concluded his
talks with United’s Executive Vice-Chairman, Ed Woodward, and agreed a deal to
take charge at Old Trafford. The Portuguese manager has agreed personal terms
with the Red Devils and will replace Louis van Gaal after he was sacked on
Monday.
This longest of long-running sagas looks set to finally to
come to a close in the coming days after months and months of speculation.
Mourinho, who has been out of work since being sacked by
Chelsea in December, replaces Louis van Gaal, who was himself dismissed by
United two days after they won the FA Cup by beating Crystal Palace 2-1 at
Wembley.
Attention then turns to who Mourinho will bring in with him.
