Nigerian Navy Arrests Three Niger Delta Militants



 
The Nigerian Navy in its effort to checkmate the activities of illegal crude oil thieves, pipeline vandals and other criminals operating in the Niger Delta have arrested three militant Navy in connection with series of maritime crimes.

In a statement by the Service on Wednesday named the suspects as Sani, popularly known as Dogonyaro; Usman, also popularly known as Smally; and Adamu Mani. The statement added that the suspects are undergoing investigation and will be handed over to the prosecuting authorities for further action.

The arrest of these suspects, the Navy said, has proven helpful in the fight against the criminals.

Also, the patrol team recovered three pumping machines and a cotonou boat carrying 80 drums of illegally refined AGO measuring 300 litres each.
